Current Work
After all my schooling and internship hours I have begun my career as a Registered Dietitian, officially becoming a RD on April 16, 2021.
My first RD job was with Community Medical Center (CMC), a Robert Wood Johnson - Barnabas Health facility, as an inpatient and outpatient RD; I currently work here full time. Working at CMC has been a pleasure because I had previously worked in the kitchen at there for 5 years as a cook, diet assistant, and food service worker. Overall my greatest joy has been 1:1 nutrition counseling with my outpatients.
My second per diem RD job was at Raritan Bay at their two hospital locations in north NJ as an inpatient RD, also a Hackensack Meridian Health facility. It was a pleasure to work in this facility because it was smaller than CMC and gave me more time to collaborate with my coworkers on care plans, get to know the interdisciplinary staff, and also acquaint myself with the ICU that has 12 beds. This area of NJ is also full of people from many different countries and cultures which allowed me to learn more about other cultures and what their nutritional lifestyles were.
